qedis an old text editor. I never used it, but I heard it mentioned about 13 years ago.Back in the olden times, there was a text editor for Mac OS (6?) called QUED (or something like that; maybe QUED/W). The rationale was that it was going to be called QED, but that name was already taken. These are the days before Alpha, and possibly around the time the first few versions of BBEdit came out. (No one was using BBEdit on campus when I first heard about QUED.)
From what I remember, QUED was nice, but not the category killer that BBEdit became.
