  • The comic is _far_ better than the film. The film has almost nothing to do with the comic - it just borrows a few of the characters.

    Have you seen any other film versions of Alan Moore comics? Most of them are pretty bad. But this one is the worst by several orders of magnitude.
    • I have only seen V for Vendetta, which is not bad. Although the story is simplified, the Hand is ridiculously turned into a "finger", and an evil manipulator dictator appears, where the comic book focuses more on the responsibility of the whole population in the raise of this dictatorship. As always, Hollywood prefers great villains to good stories.
    • I second the opinion. The books are beautiful works. I highly recommend the companion volumes by Jess Nevin to go with them and point out all the details you didn't pick up on. :-)
