The last time I saw statistics on Perl.com, the most useful link to visitors was to "Download Perl". Only that and the front page received any traffic of note.

I suspect it's both. There were three drops in traffic while I edited the site. The first came after I received the order to cut publishing from two to one article per week. The second came a few months later, when I received the order to cut publishing from one article per week to two articles per month. The third came a few months later, when I received the order to cut publishing from two articles per month to one article per month.
