Oddly, I love autodie but it's the one thing from 5.10.x that's given work gas. Turns out our debian builder accidentally installed it into site_perl instead ov over core perl so it failed to clobber Fatal.pm correctly so autodie now dies when we load it.
We're having to fix CPANPLUS::Dist::Deb to recognize this but it been painful. :-(
