  • If I had my choice, I would pretty much use it for all programming. Oh, there's still some tasks here and there where there's a better tool for the job. But most of what I do is best expressed in Perl, or if it's better expressed in another language, it's best driven with Perl as the wrapper and glue.

    BTW, where was "glue" in that poll?
