  • I had a lot tougher time turning 27 once I realized that 27 was 90% of 30. "My God! I might as well BE thirty!"

    Thirty-three gave me pause (one-third of a century, after all), as did 35. My dad was 35 when I was born, and my wife and I don't plan to have kids, so it was a generational milestone of sorts.

    The 90% of 40 went by without a hitch, as did number 37. I'm to the point where I don't celebrate birthdays any more, I endure them. :)
