Daxim, Daxim you are a party killer! ;-) One theory say that everything was there already and if someone thinks that he found out something new he just didn't search deep enough.
Yes having split screen search will be a better task for a browser, but I don't feel like hacking browsers. For me this works on my machine [codinghorror.com].
Thanks for the tip where to find more search engines. I've added Lycos to the list. The rest I've already had or was using some of the existing search engines.
