I have never had a problem with <label> on ie. What problem are you having? <input type="checkbox" id="mycheckbox" name="mycheckbox" /> <label for="mycheckbox">hello</label>

  D'oh ... you're right. Using that scheme, it did work in both IE & Firefox. Thanks!
  
  Ok, so my particular example is flawed, but what about others (no more pop-ups, tabs, advanced cookie management, etc) that could be showcased in such a manner?
