  • Go to your nearest Volvo dealer and have a look at the Volvos just in off of a 3 year lease. They are generally around $20k and have ~30k miles and come with a warranty from the dealer and from Volvo. I own a '99 V70 which will be a common model on the returned from least lot these days. I take it in for service on the recommended milage points, get the oil changed regularly and I've *never* had a bit of trouble. I know they aren't the sexiest cars but for about the same price you'd spend on a new clunker y

  • I'm still driving my '92 Saturn SL2 and it has over 128K miles on it. That said, I've had few problems over the life of the car. I'm not amused by the fact that you need to replace Saturn parts with Saturn parts, even down to their spark plugs.
