  • ActiveState distributes all possible CPAN modules - they have automated process of creating ppm files.

    Recent work should make creating binary packages easier: configure_requires, MYMETA.yml. I'm planning to add build_requires to EU::MM (patch already done).

    I also have an interesting idea, you can read about it on GSoC 2009 Perl Projects [perlfoundation.org], search for "CPAN/OS package interaction".

  • I'm always trying to use as much of what is available of perl modules in debian and use dh-make-perl to generate also the non-existing ones and install through debain's package management (aptitude usually). As I also can partly speak for Vienna.pm, I would say that Vienna.pm is also interessted in directly sponsoring such activities. Contacts welcome.
