I don't think you'll have too much trouble. There is a fair amount of interest in the group as a social thing but a lot of the folks haven't very giving in the presentation department. The next biggest issue was where and when to meet, meeting space and projectors was always hard to come by.

There is an existing emailing list that is mostly dormant but with a number of subscribers, I organized a pub meet in July that went over well.
