  • If you're trying to clone one machine's contents it should take about 30 minutes via disk utility (in /Applications/Utilities). Just boot the machine you wish to copy *to* in target disk mode, open disk utility, click the Erase tab and erase the disk mounted in target mode, then click the Restore tab and restore with the boot drive as source and the newly wiped disk as target. Works beautifully each time I've done it (and that's hovering around 20 now: there are few machines under my care!).
