I really regretted missing YAPC 1999, and I've been looking forward to YAPC 19100 with bated (not to say baited) breath.
To my distress, however, I find myself once again a victim of circumstance, trapped here in sunny (!) California when seemingly everyone else in the North American Perl community is off in Pittsburgh ... and before that, in Alaska.
Still, I wish to be there in spirit if not in body. So if anyone gets a feeling of vuja de[1], well, that's me projecting my mental state from here. Or may
