However, I have a better method: caller ID + blocking hidden IDs + not answering "unknown ID" + an answering machine with the default message. So I almost never get calls from salespeople anymore, except for that psychic Jamaican chick who leaves a message (I'd think she would be the LAST person to leave a message for me, knowing we would never call back).
Anyway, in other words: avoid the conversation in the first place.
