I don't know this is what you're talking about, but it sure sounds like hype to the max (:)): Microsoft Max [microsoft.com]. I quote:

So, what is it? I don't know. But it sounds like it's just another fancy slideshow program to me, allowing a bit of drag and drop layouting. Nothing to be too excited about.
