  • With all these 5.8.0 release candidates, I set up a script that I adapted from one Abigail [perl.org] gave me. Makes it much easier than sitting thru all the questions.

    ./Configure \
        -des \
        -Uversiononly \
        -Dmydomain=.petdance.com \
        -Dcf_email=andy@petdance.com \

    • Abigail is the queen of multiple installs

      Yeah, that /opt tree at YAPC was something to behold.

      Maybe that means Abigail gets to benefit from my one and only patch to perl: a fix to MakeMaker that allowed you to do perl5.6.1 Makefile.PL instead of having to /usr/local/bin/perl5.6.1 Makefile.PL. I kind of like multiple installs myself, and that was one of the first things I ran into.
