    Sounds like a story of New Zealand from someone who loves New York. I've never been to New Zealand (yet), but I've been to New York, and I can tell you which I'll prefer...

    But then different people like different things. If you grew up in the city, you'll probably always crave the hustle and bustle, the endless noise, the loneliness of it all. If you grew up in the country [vital.co.uk] I suspect the big smokes will always leave you wanting.
    • Bah, I've lived in NY, and I have dim memories of NZ, and I love both.

      Besides, doesn't NZ have an excellent social system (as opposed to the UK)? Or is that a myth created to shame Ozzies? ;-)
