      This is a ... horror. I've read through quite a bit of it and I agree with Sean. Maybe for different reasons.

      It's a mish-mash [infoplease.com] collection of opinions disguised as a history of Unix and a lesson on OS design (with tangents off into culture and other irrelevancies). It's bothersome to me because he's got the authoritative sound but no real basis in fact of a sales job. I'm a huge fan of Unix, but I get the feeling that I'm being preached at by Goebbles [us-israel.org]. While I may ostensibly agree with some of the facts, I don't like where it's going.

      The whole "why-to" instead of "how-to" simply provides a soapbox but I'm not sure what he's preaching. This is creepy.
