  • I wish the people on freenode's #perl were like this. I could be swimming in books, damnit =)

    Some recent nice titles:
    TPJ3 [perl.org], Learning Perl Objects, References & Modules [perl.org], Practical mod_perl [perl.org], TPJ2 [perl.org] and probably some others.

There were a few bio ones if you like that sort of thing.

    • Well, in the past 5 years on #cgi, I actually only got one book (see journal somewhere last week). I've had dozens of people telling me they'd send me stuff but most of the time it turns out nowhere. We'll see how it goes this time.

I already got those ORA ones on the list. I'm looking for less uhm obvious ones. Thanks for the suggestions tho
      • Perhaps check out books.perl.org [perl.org] and see what else strikes your fancy =)

One good method of finding interesting books is to go to amazon and find wishlists of the Rich and Famous - Dave Cross, Randal, etc.

Personally, I've got a wishlist on amazon uk, two on amazon (long story) and one in my wiki [dellah.org] (which is still being played with, hence the weird url)
