I think it's worse because he had a waterfront home. When you buy/build a home which is in harms way from Mother Nature (on a fault line, on the beach along the Florida coastline, etc...) then you should deal with it yourself.

The gov't really should have said "You're the douch who purchased a house in the water, which can cause a flood. Sorry." and at least NOT payed for his items.

  Yeah, maybe it is because he took a specific risky action that resulted in the government giving him money, whereas WFB working on PBS and rich liberals who take income tax cuts are just ... doing what normal people do.
