The Perl Community Events [google.com] has been around for quite some time now, and has all the conferences and workshops happening around the globe, together with many Perl Monger group meetings.
And you can subscribe to it using your local iCal mechanism :)
Although Google do need to get the whole timezone thing worked out, as it should be based on the viewer's not the one where the calendar was registered, but that's whole other story about Google's unfinished apps ;)
