AIM Eliza bot, Festival plugin for Gaim

eisen writes "I just posted an article at Mother of Perl on a couple hacks I whipped up that have no practical value whatsoever. I've been reluctantly using the Linux AIM instant messenger (Gaim) to communicate with co-workers. While I think IMs are lame compared to IRC, it was fun to hack up an Eliza bot using the Chatbot::Eliza and Net::AIM modules. The second script I hacked was a Perl plugin for Gaim that pipes incoming messages to the Festival voice synthesizer which is very cool IMHO."
