ActiveState Releases Module for Searching Google

posted by pudge on 2002.04.27 4:11   Printer-friendly
Lori Pike writes "As many of you are aware, Google has released a cool new beta Web service that allows programmers to use Google's search engine through SOAP. Programmers will be able to query more than 2 billion Web documents accessible from the Google search engine from their own scripts. ActiveState makes it easy to use this service by providing Google modules for Perl and Python through our Programmer's Package Manager (PPM). This is freely available to the community through our ActivePerl PPM and ActivePython pyPPM." It looks like a nice interface, even if GoogleSearch isn't a very nice namespace.
