hcchien writes: Taiwan will host the Open Source Developer's Conference on 7-8 April 2007. We are taking proposals for talks (in Chinese or English) until the end of January. More details will be available from the conference website when we have it ready. If you have any questions, please mail to hcchien@hcchien.org.

The topic of OSDC.tw 2007 will be the hottest "2.0" concept, but what we actually want is "Programming 2.0", which means programmers can develop open source software projects in a more efficient and simple way, and get the higher executive speed. We welcome contributions from all fields on topics related to the latest open source development tools, and present your new ideas to the open source communities.

The proposal deadline is in the end of January, 2007. The presenting language includes English and Chinese. English Speakers will have a Chinese translation during the presentation. Conference registration will be available in the beginning of February, 2007.

Please submit your proposal to hcchien@hcchien.org in the following format, We will arrange the schedule of the conference after we receive all of the submission.

  • subject:
  • tutorial (3 hours long)/ session (1-1.5 hours)
  • speaker:
  • abstract:

"After Australia and Israel, Taiwan is the third country to run OSDC (Open Source Developer's Conference, OSDC.tw). Although there are many things to improve when we first hold the conference last year, but the event was a big hit. Therefore, we will face more challenges next year, and it will be an important issue to be admitted by everybody.
