jhi writes "The CPAN master site, ftp.funet.fi, is going to be down for a major hardware upgrade on Wednesday, the 1st of June. During the break no new modules will be transferred from PAUSE to CPAN (they will wait in PAUSE), which means that CPAN mirrors will see no updates, and which also means that, e.g. the search.cpan.org will not see new stuff. The CPAN mirrors will continue to operate normally. The expected downtime is 24 hours, possibly less, starting early on the Wednesday morning Finnish time (GMT+2)."

Update: ftp.funet.fi has been returned to service as of 17.00 EET/15.00 GMT. Today was not the hardware upgrade but a move to a new datacenter. The hardware will be upgraded in the coming weeks.
