perlmonks has a poll of favorite (s/favorite/favourite/) cartoons.
Here are some of the cartoons I watched as a kid that absolutely rock (or at least they did when I was a kid):
Battle Of The Planets
Thundercats
He-Man
Transformers
Space Sentinels
Scooby Doo - Where are you? - not the bloody Scrappy Doo era.
I'm sure there are many more but these are the first one's that spring to mind.

There's amazingly active Transformers community out there on the net. They have conventions and everything. And fights over whether the new shows/toys are any good. And you can read the entire 80-issue comic book series online. (I personally own issues 1-6 and 80.) Some of the TF fanfiction is great reading.
Don't forget Voltron. Every episode had the same plot, but somehow we enjoyed it anyway.

I am pitiful.
I never owned a Soundwave, but I had two tapes.
I remember making paper versions of the Transformers in second grade. It wasn't just me; lots of kids did this, and had a real blast. I remember in particular making Soundwave once or twice.
