Great. The powers that be have decided that we all need to have Rational Rose installed. Super, another winblows only app. Let's leave the UML to the analysts and the coding to the code monkeys shall we. Of course that won't happen and all the development team will have to take part in this new fun - sigh.

  • IMO, if you aren't a programmer, you shouldn't be allowed to touch UML. Otherwise you end up with wall-sized diagrams that look really nice to manager types, and are utterly impossible to implement in practice.

    Maybe UML works better in an XP environment.

    Also, I could have sworn there used to be a Solaris version of Rational Rose - back when it first came out. I know there's a Solaris version of Rational ClearCase.

    I'm probably remembering incorrectly.
