tinman spent a few years mucking around industry before going back to school for a Masters. Currently not enjoying the weather in North England..

He wrote Perl that looked suspiciously like C code in 1998, while working as an intern, and has been trying to cure that bad habit ever since.

Oooh, about the masterminds

The local quiz proggie was a disaster :o) there were REAL pros there, and our team got blown away, but at least we got a couple of lunches out of it ;o)

There were two teams participating from our company, and the other team was foolish enough (*evil grin*) to bet that we'd have a lower score than they :o) hmmmm, they lost, we went to Pizza Hut yesterday and did the equivalent of a "all you can eat" courtesy Team B ;o)

The second lunch was for placing in the top half of the competing teams (it was a close run thing, but we were 21st out of 50 ;o) We, naturally, spread the word that we did it despite our table number (we were sitting in table number 13)
