He wrote Perl that looked suspiciously like C code in 1998, while working as an intern, and has been trying to cure that bad habit ever since.

Oh, the irony
Perhaps the one reason for Slashdotters to say they actually want to install Windows: so they can infect themselves with the MyDoom worm and DDOS SCO.
