tinman spent a few years mucking around industry before going back to school for a Masters. Currently not enjoying the weather in North England..

He wrote Perl that looked suspiciously like C code in 1998, while working as an intern, and has been trying to cure that bad habit ever since.

tongue firmly in cheek

I cant believe it took me so long to get one of those ill famed Nigerian spam mails. I just got my first one this weekend. The percentage split is interesting, 20% to me for putting up a "modest sum" into a bank account and helping "reclaim" funds that were siphoned off blah blah blah

but seriously

I realize that my email address hasnt been published around very much and I have been spared most of the annoying spam trends that crop up.. Now that one spammer has figured out one of my semi-permanent addresses, though, I expect the Thunderbird spam filter to get a workout :( the Yahoo addresses though, seem to be fair game for any spammer who wants to send stuff. Dictionary based scans ? maybe. I dont publish those addresses much either.
