Fun with MS Exchange
In a nutshell, MS's table repair utility takes approximately 30 minutes per Gb to run. We have 22 Gb. Restoring from our tape backup will take approximately 3 hours. You do the math.
Too damned bad it took us all friggin' morning to get to this point.
For some reason, yesterday's journal entry didn't make it. I guess I've confused preview with submit. Oh well. mGen is up and running now (yea!), and I figured out how to remotely adminster the Oracle databases (YEA!). I'm a hero for an hour or so.
Whatever.
This is one of the funniest journal entries I have ever read. I've laughed at this for days now.
