I missed out on the release of Rank And File - The Slash Years and I really wish they would re-release it (especially considering the prices I see for this album on eBay, or I wish they would release an even bigger better box set (this collection covers their first two albums, and a few unreleased tracks -- they had a third album that I really like also). It may not exactly appeal to everyone, but for those who do like this sort of stuff (country/rock, cowpunk, whatever - check "Conductor Wore Black" in the first link and see if you like that -- and for those who would consider it a recommendation, the Everly Brothers covered their "Amanda Ruth" :), it's an essential album. If you think it's essential too, write to Rhino Records and demand (or ask nicely) for a re-release :-)
