Perl don't BEEP
There is, apparently, no BEEP functionality in Perl. There is a Tcl implementation, and two each for C and Java. But no Perl.
Is no one in the Perl community terribly interested in BEEP?

. . . with the idea of doing a POE component, but then I never really finished the ORA book (which seemed to have a good coverage of the toolkits but not as much on the protocol itself).
