comments enabled
Matt asked me to enable comments, so I tweaked the past two entries, and will try and remember to enable them in the future.
This may count for news in some places.

Go to
http://use.perl.org/my/journal
and you'll see a pref that you can set to enable/disable comments
by default. If you set that to 'enable' then you won't have to do
anything unless you specifically want to disable comments for some
particular journal entry.
Pudge pointed this out to me when I posted an RFE bug for slash.
You can't see the pref unless you go to that URL, and I'd been
