Journal: Pittsburgh Perl Workshop CFP ends Monday Sept 6 on 2010.09.02 10:22
Don't miss your chance to speak at this years Workshop. The Call For Papers ends Monday Sept 6.
Perl Instructors and Trainers: YAPC|10 wants your courses!
For YAPC|10, we are hoping to offer attendees a wide selection of pre- and post-YAPC courses and training opportunities. To that end, we invite all qualified Perl trainers and instructors to respond to our Call for Courses.
Parrot Virtual Machine Workshop (PVMW) 2009 is a pre-yapc|10 event to be held June 20-21. FYI we have a maximum capacity of 70 people. If you know you want to attend be sure to sign up and confirm your place.
Sign up by going to http://yapc10.org/yn2009/purchase.
Check "Parrot Virtual Machine Workshop".
Note: You do not have to attend yapc|10 to go to PVMW.
The very first Yet Another Perl Conference was held in '99. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of that event, we are offering a special YAPC|10 admission price of $99 — but only for 10 days! After that, the price goes up to $125. The full pricing schedule is below:
10th Anniversary Special $99 Mar 14--24
Standard pricing $125 Mar 25--May 31
Late registration $150 After May 31
The YAPC|10 organizers are working hard to make this a great YAPC. But we would really like it if the community could help out with pre-YAPC and post-YAPC events.
YAPCs make a great opportunity to be around great perl people. Make the most of it and create a few other interesting events.

It is the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network.
And the CPAN FAQ says:
What is CPAN?
CPAN is the Comprehensive Perl Archive Network, a large collection of Perl software and documentation. You can begin exploring from either http://www.cpan.org/, http://www.perl.com/CPAN/ or any of the mirrors listed at http://www.cpan.org/SITES.html.

So if a blog posting is documenting something maybe it should go on CPAN.

I am attempting to do some resarch on this and am not finding a good free reference for the SQL standards.
This is what I have found so far but it is not free.
YAPC is June 22-24 2009 back where it all started at CMU.
If you want to do anything pre or post YAPC please contact the organizers. We can help find you space for hack-a-thons or whaterver you might want to do.
Please join the mailing list to keep up to date with the YAPC details.
Please join #yapc::na::2009 on irc.perl.org and help in the planing.
From talk selection, preparation and delivery we can help you along the way.
