Lyon.pm
Looks like Lyon.pm is about to be created. Another Perl
hacker from Lyon, Jerôme Quelin, contacted me to
start it. We're two for now -- Jerôme posted an
announcement in fr.comp.lang.perl to get some other people.
The preliminary meeting would be on 28th february, at 20h30, in the
Café Perl (great name for a place!),
near the subway station Cordeliers. If you're interested,
please follow-up or send me a mail. A new french PM group would be great.

The french organisation Les Mongueurs de Perl [mongueurs.net] will provide you with a web site, a mailing-list and a domain name.

It's great that you're starting a new group! Best of luck to you, be sure to keep it up even if it takes a while for your meetings to gain weight. You should also announce it on the Paris.pm list where, as I recall, there are quite a few non-Parisians (I at least remember someone that lived not far from Grenoble that may be close enough for the occasional drop by).
If you ever have tech meetings, I'd be happy to use the occasion to drop by and go see my family in Grenoble after that. That is, of cou
