More gremlins
We experienced various technical failures in the past few days at home. The
screens of the computer and of the TV became so dark that I had to push the
brightness at its maximum level to be able to distinguish something. The DVD
player refuses to play most DVDs, even the recently-purchased Angel
ones. And my DSL modem is still inhabited by evil gremlins. I suspect some
problem in the electricity delivery.
This is uncomfortable.

magnetic (Score:2)
Any chance there could be some unusually high magnetic fields? Those are very good at creating seemingly random failures in that kind of equipment.
