How to watch football...

[ #5681 ]

As some others have noted, England won a football match today. This is good. I was able to follow the action by leaving my window open and listening out for shouts of joy or disbelief as crucial events occurred. This left me able to both read the newspaper, and later understand wind and waves, but still know how well our boys were doing. All without a pang of guilt that I wasn't -- in some small way -- supporting those fine gentleman in Japan. I trust that the BBC (or whoever my neighbours were tuned into) will count me in their figures, as I benefited greatly from their coverage.
