iTunes 4 Raw Suckage
AppleScript support in playing shared files is totally broken. "get current track" returns an error; "get selection of window 1" returns an empty record. My guess is that this is a bug related to trying to make sure that these shared files are not shared too much, because there cannot be any good reason to not be able to get properties of shared files. Setting property values, I can understand, but not getting them.

It's been reported on radarweb and as iTunes feedback by yours truly.
However, the more feedback the iTunes team gets on this, the better off we all are.

And I have just about given up on RadarWeb. I spend significant time filling out bug reports for serious problems that are relatively easy to fix, but are never addressed. When I see my reports begin to be fixed, I'll consider contributing more of my time to the process.
