I run Perl Training Australia [perltraining.com.au].

I help with Melbourne Perl Mongers.

I spend an awful lot of time talking about Perl, and have had my picture in the Australian newspapers with a camel. That's rather scary.

Jarich is wonderful
In a month's time I'll be presenting a full day tutorial at the SAGE-AU 2004 conference on Perl Security. The tutorial has been written from the ground up, and currently sits at about 28,000 words in the main text. There are also slides to support the course, these are being written in a second stage, and will occupy much of my time over the next four weeks.

However, the reason I'm writing this particular journal is publically express my appreciation of all the hard work that jarich has gone to on the project. Of the 6000 lines of text, jarich has either written or superbly edited 4000 of them (or about 20,000 words). That's a huge effort, especially given that I'm the only one who'll look like a fool if things aren't perfect.

So, Jacinta, a great big thank-you for going above and beyond the call of duty.
