The die is cast
Okay, there's only enough time to do one of
- MIDI::Tuning (as a source filter/pragma for MIDI::Simple), which would obviously require some fancy Perling, and would be academically interesting, or
- the generative music project, which is completely open-ended, vague, and will probably not be terribly complex to implement, but is near and dear to my heart.
No contest there; it's generative music all the way. It may be less interesting to the selection committees, but I'll enjoy it more.
