  • The government in Belgium makes me sad. It's like if Python tried to make a government -- a bassackwards adherence to procedure, self-important blandness, a greater idea of what they're against than what they're for, and the aimlessness of life lived as a footnote.

    I had such hopes, too. Well, actually I didn't... but I could have!

    • I guess I don't know enough about the government in Belgium to comment...

      It did make me sad though, that they have apparently so quickly given into pressure from Washington to amend a law that would allow a trial for alleged war-crimes.
