No 3D phishing.

[ #38882 ]

Curiously, neither Ryanair nor amazon.co.uk bother with 3D insecure/phished by Visa. I don't remember Easyjet bothering with it either. I assume that they've done the maths, and the decreased fraud is not worth the abandoned sales. Although, it doesn't surprise me that the airlines don't care for it, as if you buy a ticket on a hot card, and then are daft enough to show up at the airport, they've got your passport details now...

Oh, fun thing I spotted. There is a €5/£5 (or local currency equivalent) handling fee for processing the purchase of gift vouchers. This is for vouchers that "are only valid for the payment of Ryanair flights and any associated taxes, fees and charges", and presumably no change is given, so if you have to pay the balance on not-an-Electron-card, you still have to pay 5 pints of blood (or local currency equivalent) per leg of the flight.

I'm still wondering whether Ryanair charge the credit card "handling" fee on a Ryanair credit card. It is a credit card, after all, and they don't say that they don't...
