Abba ☝, Metallica ☟

My sister writes that my niece is very into Abba at the moment; they have supplanted Metallica in her affections!

I'm not quite sure how Metallica won approval in the first place, as they don't meet the key Erin criteria of pink, sparkly and ice cream. Then again, Abba don't really either, do they?

  • I guess it shows what good marketing can do. Metallica did seem to head in the pink and sparkly direction after "...And Justice For All", which, a bit shockingly for me, came out two decades ago. Ok, the black album was alright, after I listened to it a few times. But they'll always be "the unforgiven" since the RIAA crap.
  • Well, "sparkly" is certainly something I associate with ABBA. As for pink, see the pictures here [abbasite.com] and here [abbasite.com] for some ABBA & pink.

    As for ice-cream, well, ABBA -> Sweden -> cold -> ice-cream. ;-)
