Hmm. the trust gave its provisional approval in January.
How many months (or years) before January was it being worked on? And how many contractors and permanent staff employed, and funds committed? Quite a lot, I believe, given that I talked with someone about a permanent role related to the project last May. Might that job have all gone up in smoke because the project hadn't actually been approved? Must one do due diligence now before applying for any BBC job? It seems strange that a publicly funded, publicly accountable, and publicly constrained organisation had been spending money that might potentially go to waste. Rather than getting a provisional green light first.
