The Algebraist

I finished reading The Algebraist by Iain M. Banks last night. I enjoyed it. But then again, I tend to like his books, unlike those by that Iain Banks chap. :-)

  • I'm exactly the opposite. I mostly love the Iain-without-an-M-Banks stuff but the few Iain-with-an-M-Banks that I've read have seemed to be extremely dull.

    I suspect I just have a bit of a downer on science fiction.

    • Normally, I'm quite the sci-fi person, but the only Iain M Banks book I've read bored the tits off me. I was waiting and waiting for the plot to get going, then the book finished. Ah well.
