Aha. So this is why trains were being diverted past me last Tuesday - houses collapsing near the railway line through Bromley South. Strange - I wonder what they're subsiding into. As far as I know it's chalk round there. Then again, Blackheath Hill had major subsidence in 2002 due to undocumented chalk workings, so maybe it will happen round here too.
