Chichester Psalms

[ #26919 ]

Despite having a CD, it's a long time since I listened to them[*], and I've forgotten how much I like them.

They have another use - I'm quite capable of ignoring them as long as I'm not quite playing them loud enough to make my ears hurt. Maybe this wasn't the most direct way of doing it, but a long time ago when someone's party was too loud, I played the Chichester Psalms back at it. They got the hint.

* and way way longer since I've sung them. Which I seem to remember is more fun that listening to them.

  • I loved the Psalms. Played it once or twice in college. My two most played CSs are Bernstein: A Tribute [amazon.com], which has Psalms, a lot of West Side, and Rhapsody In Blue. My other most played CD is of course Orffs Carmina Burana with the London Symphony.
