No, I am not a Perl-Guru. I'm just a user and I wanted to meet other Perl users in my vicinity. There was no monger group. I felt lonely as a Perl User.
So I started a monger group.

This is how [] came into existence. This group for Perl users in the lower rhine area in Germany is now 2 years old.
I'm a happy Perl user now :)

Ever since 9/11 I observed governments becoming more and more estranged to their citizens. I see that there are constantly new laws in the making that infringe civil liberties.
All this is done with one reason: we, the normal, law-abiding people are to be protected from terrorists. We are supposed to believe that our freedom can be defended by infringing it.
The terrorists have already won. Our freedom is not what it was and what it's supposed to be.
What a sad time for democracy ...
