regarding
http://blog.timbunce.org/2009/09/10/perl-in-five-sentences/
My take:
perl
has a massive library of reusable code in CPAN
has a culture of best practices and tests and utility
has 20 years of experience
When I am on a journal entry like:
http://use.perl.org/~Ovid/journal/38729
that I decide to bookmark in Firefox, I want the bookmark name default to be:
"Programmatic Enforcement Of Liskov Substitution Principle"
not
"Journal of Ovid (2709)".
Is that so much to ask?
I would even think it is an upgrade to have the _title_ be
"Programmatic Enforcement Of Liskov Substitution Principle"
So, I pray to the gods of perl, and all that will hear me, that my prayers will be answered.
Plus, I hate filing bug reports or upgrade requests.

etc.
